Crystal care guide

Most stones need almost nothing from you. A few need protecting — from water, sunlight, and each other.

Water

Quartz varieties (amethyst, citrine, rose quartz, clear quartz) are fully washable in lukewarm water. Selenite is water-soluble — never wash it, only wipe with a dry cloth. When in doubt, check the care line on your origin card.

Sunlight

Amethyst and rose quartz will slowly pale in direct sun over months. Display them where daylight is bright but indirect. Citrine, quartz and labradorite are color-stable.

Storage & hardness

Minerals scratch each other. Fluorite (Mohs 4) and selenite (Mohs 2) should never share a drawer with quartz (Mohs 7) — store soft stones separately, ideally in the linen pouches your order arrives in.
